Privacy Policy
The short version
- We collect what we need to run the game: your sign-in details, your game play, and basic technical info.
- We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
- You can delete your account yourself, any time, from inside the app. Deleting wipes everything we hold about you (details below).
What we collect
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| Account | If you sign in with Google or Apple: your name and email address (Apple may give us a private relay address instead) and a unique account ID. We never see your Google or Apple password. We don’t store your profile photo. |
| Guests | If you continue as a guest: a random anonymous ID. No name or email. |
| Game play | Courses you open, rounds started and finished, holes played, scores and strokes, player names you type for a round, game mode (round, range, target battle, chipping), your recent round history, and how many free plays you’ve used this month. |
| Shots | Each shot you hit: distance, direction, spin and club data, where it came from (launch monitor, Simulate or touch swing), the platform (web, iPhone, Android) and the time. |
| Launch monitor | Connection status and device names from the apps, used to fix connection problems, plus a pairing code that links your launch monitor to your account. |
| Reports | Anything you write in a bug report or course-problem report. |
| Technical | Your device or browser type, app version, when you last used LocalTee, and your IP address (in standard server logs). |
| On your device | Settings, round history and any round in progress are saved in your own browser or app storage. |
How we use it
- To run the game, keep your history and stats, and connect your launch monitor.
- To apply the free monthly play limit.
- To find and fix bugs, correct course data, and see overall use (counts, not profiles).
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run LocalTee:
- Google Firebase Authentication handles Google sign-in and keeps the sign-in record.
- Apple handles Sign in with Apple.
- Amazon Web Services hosts our servers and backups in the United States.
- Our website loads its 3D library from a public code delivery network (unpkg), which can see your IP address when it serves the file.
We don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Server logs that include IP addresses are kept for about 10 days. Guest activity is tied only to a random ID that we can’t connect to you; if you want guest activity removed, contact us.
Deleting your data
In the app or on the website, signed in: tap Account next to your name, then Delete account, and type DELETE to confirm. You’ll be signed out straight away. Full steps are on the Delete account page.
When you delete your account, we immediately remove everything we hold about you from our live systems:
- your account record (name, email, plan, stats, round history)
- every play, shot, launch-monitor and usage record tied to your account
- any bug or course reports you sent
- your launch-monitor pairing code
- your sign-in record with Firebase
- the data stored on the device you deleted from (your history and in-progress round)
We also back up our database routinely. Server copies are deleted automatically after 14 days. Older offsite copies are cleared out manually on a rolling basis, so your data can remain in an old backup for a limited time after you delete your account. We don’t restore deleted accounts or use backups for anything else. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also remove LocalTee from your Apple ID under Settings > your name > Sign in with Apple.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it (you can also delete it yourself as above). Email us and we’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
LocalTee isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, our database is locked down to the server, and sign-in is handled by Google and Apple. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant we’ll tell you in the app.
